The Dong people are among the more numerous minorities in China. They are most noted for their unique wood-based architecture (so-called wind-and-rain covered bridges and pagoda-like drum towers) and their polyphonic music (mostly using elaborate bamboo flutes called lusheng - it sounds a bit like an organ actually). Their villages are beautiful and picturesque, western tourists will  feel like walking in an open air museum.
